Rochester Magazine received an unprecedented number of submissions, capturing scenes near and far.

In choosing which to feature, They aimed for a variety of locations, subject matter, mood and approach.

Joann K. Long's image was a Moroccan Market: "As a chaperone for my son’s high school foreign language school trip, we experienced the diverse culture of Morocco. The vibrant market attracted me to this impromptu street image. I chuckled as the woman was talking to the man and the man seemed to be quite oblivious." Joann K.
