Joann Long earned 1st place in the HDR Category with her Oldest Covered Bridge in the US! The Hyde Hall Covered Bridge in Cooperstown, NY, is the only covered bridge still standing in Otsego County, and is not only the oldest existing covered bridge in New York State, but the oldest in the United States. It is one of two authentic Burr arch truss bridges in the state and is located at the northern tip of Otsego Lake in Glimmerglass State Park. It is one of three covered bridges in New York State with horizontal siding. The bridge was listed on the State and National Register of Historic Places on December 17, 1998.

Joann Long was honored with 2 images published in the Rochester Magazine and an additional image published in the online version of the magazine! The Rochester Magazine contest was described as "This year, we asked people to send photos showing what they love about Rochester and the Finger Lakes region. We received hundreds of submissions from many talented photographers in our area. Most gratifying was to see scenes from all times of the year. What follows is a visual celebration of our distinct four seasons, told through people, places and memorable moments."
What an honor to have 3 images chosen among hundreds of photographers' submissions!
